Dr. Jeffrey Murer is a Senior Lecturer in Collective Violence in the School of International Relations. His work explores the psychological processes associated with collective and individual identity formation, particularly in the context of conflict and violence. His current research focuses specifically on identity formation in immigrant communities in Western Europe, especially in the United Kingdom. Join us with Dr. Murer for a conversation on how collective identities are formed, and how narratives, objects, and rituals shape identities, relationships, and societal dynamics.

Dr. Y Ariadne Collins is a Lecturer in the School of International Relations whose work sits at the nexus of climate governance, environmental policy, and post-colonial development. Her book, Forests of Refuge: Decolonizing Environmental Governance in the Amazonian Guiana Shield, along with her current project, Towards a Political Ecology of Volume, critically examines the effectiveness, sustainability, and equity of environmental governance frameworks. Join us with Dr. Collins for an engaging discussion on the colonial histories that shape conservation, the renewable energy transition, and political ecology.
